Laurel Life Outpatient Services

Psychological and Therapy Services are available for children, adolescents, adults, and families. The services are provided by licensed counselors, social workers, and doctoral level psychologists. In addition, some services are provided by unlicensed practitioners working under the close supervision of an appropriately credentialed clinician.

Services
Services are designed to assist consumers in adjusting to and coping with difficult situations in their lives. Laurel Life staff recommends a therapist to consumers based on the specific needs of a client, the interests and specialties of the provider, and the status of the therapist as an approved provider for the particular client’s insurance company. Services include:

  • Academic and psychological assessment

  • Reaching and teaching adolescents

  • Other topics designed to fulfill various needs at educational and mental health settings

Drug & Alchohol Services
Drug and Alcohol Outpatient Counseling Services are provided to individuals who are concerned about their own drug or alcohol use or the use of drugs and alcohol by a close friend or relative. Self-referrals are encouraged. Referrals are also accepted from social service agencies, courts, schools, families, friends, and inpatient drug and alcohol programs.

Manito Drug and Alcohol Counselors specialize in providing services to behaviorally disruptive adolescents and adult offenders. Outpatient services are licensed by the PA Department of Health/Division of Drug and Alcohol Program Licensure.

All Manito Drug and Alcohol Counselors have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree and experience working with substance abusing clients. Some Counselors have Masters Degrees. All Counselors are Certified Addictions Counselors (CAC) or actively involved in pursuing appropriate certification within the field of addictions.

Funding
Funding for the psychological and counseling services is provided by third party insurance companies, medical assistance, private pay and contracts with local county authorities.
